Since February 2010 we are offering an education as a Professional ScrumMaster. What is that and why am I doing this?
I always had the opinion that a ScrumMaster is a manager who is challenged by extremely difficult tasks. The ScrumMaster has to innitiate changes in behavior of his team members, he has to establish a completely new way of thinking about team work, and he has to eliminate everyday problems of his team at the same time.
In a word — that is the most difficult but at the same time most gratifying job within a company that I can think of.
This job is given to more and more people, now that Scrum is booming in Germany as well, and most often they are challenged with the task to change their role as a developer to a role as a ScrumMaster, without either the responsible manager nor the future ScrumMaster being aware what that really means.
To become a good ScrumMaster, is in my opinion a profession, which a ScrumMaster can learn, and has to learn in most cases actually, to be successful.
It has taken years for me to do that and I have had to learn a lot of things to finally know how to lead Scrum Teams successfully and to to make whole companies successful as well.
The education as a Professional ScrumMaster is my new offer to support you in that task, the ScrumMasters in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The educational program has been designed based on my experiences and knowledge.
It includes elements of facilitation, the systemic consutling, and many other modes of c0nsulting. It will show you advice and tricks that it takes to be an effective leader and manager with Scrum. The knowledge about simple tools and methods have helped me to make teams becoming more efficient and productive.
I am sure those said tools and methods will help you as well. If you want to know more about that, you are welcome to send me an email, or you just wait for the next blog concerning that topic.
For the quickly decided ScrumMaster: we offer the training Team Development for ScrumMasters in Vienna on 4 and 5 March.
