Paul Goddard writes that agile projects and music have many parallels. Both are the result of a vision realised. Each follows an agile process of testing, reworking and listening to playback as the end result is iteratively achieved. In music it is by the development of a simple melody (addition of vocals, etc), in software by the addition of shippable functionality.

The ScrumMaster is like a conductor as he inspires his team to work well and play to their strengths in achieving a project vision. Team members must self manage by listening. Much as musicians in an orchestra do within their orchestral sections. more …
